Research Area C: Remission

Restoring tissue homeostasis following clinical therapies of maladaptive diseases

Research Program C investigates how remission works at the tissue level by looking at how diseases leave lasting “memory” in cells and tissues even when symptoms subside. It aims to identify molecular traces of disease memory in remission patients, determine why current therapies cannot fully restore health, and develop new strategies to harness intrinsic health-supporting mechanisms. The initiative combines state-of-the-art technologies, patient data, and animal models to find ways to create more robust and long-lasting remission.
